My Topic

Animal cruelty has always been an issue close to my heart. I have always planned to major in veterinary medicine and when the time came to choose a topic for my graduation project it became apparent that the use of animals in cancer research was a controversial issue that made me take into consideration my own ethics and values.

My Product

For my product, I volunteered at the Wake County Animal Center, shadowed a doctor at North Carolina State University, and taught a level two Animal Science class at Clayton High School about whether or not animal testing should be used in cancer research.
